With sheer determination and hard work Inimfon Joseph, emerged winner, in
a keenly competitive Face of Rhodies World Online Photo
Contest season 3. Two days after the end of the contest she traveled down to Akwa
Ibom State, the headquarters of Rhodies World for the crowning and cheque
presentation. She expressed her excitement when team Rhodies
World contacted her for this exclusive interview few hours before she
departure to her state of resident after spending three days in Akwa Ibom State
courtesy of Rhodies World.
This is what she had to say….
By God’s Grace, I am Inimfon Joseph, an under graduate of Accounting
in the university of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, an indigene of Akwa Ibom
State, and the winner 3rd edition face of Rhodies World online photo
contest. In other words, I am now an Ambassador of Rhodies World.
This edition of Face of Rhodies World online photo contest was actually my
first time in a modelling contest and I remain grateful to a friend, a
contestant in the 2nd edition of the contest “Miss Sandra Bassey” for
introducing me to the contest.
A month ago I was so anxious, my disposition at that moment was of a mixed
feeling but today I can categorically say that the feelings has change, It
feels so great and I’m so happy but honestly I feel like am the ‘Queen of
I thank God it is all over because voting was so very stressful I had to
set an alarm that reminds me it’s up to an hour, even at night, I wake up
when the alarm goes off and vote, remind all my friends on Facebook, bbm, twitter to vote for me, after voting I get back to sleep waiting for the next sound of the alarm, it was not easy at all.
There were lots of set back and challenges but I think what kept me going
even with poor network, friends who bluntly refuse to vote for me,
tiredness and lots more was just determination and that I did not want to
Truth is, I never really expected to see my name on top because after a
poor result at the end of the 3rd week I thought it was over but something just
kept me campaigning and I want to thank team Rhodies World for not displaying
the result until voting ends, because those who are serious will keep on
voting and may be that was why I just kept on voting.
This is not the end of my modelling pursuit; I want to be bigger and
better until I become an international model, but for now I am
representing Akwa Ibom State in Miss Niger Delta beauty pageant coming up
soon. But in whatever case I’m ready to take modelling by the horn.
Irrespective of all I have said or will say, there is one question that
fan and friends out there will need an answer. Have I received my prize
money of $600 as promised? You know some people were asking “who in earth
will give that amount of money to some contestant and others were
wondering where Rhodies World would get such an amount to pay but be it as
it may, I came down to Rhodies World headquarters at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State,
I was crowned and I also received my $600, so much thanks to my family and
friends because you made this day a reality for me.
At the moment I am available and will gladly response to any invitation
from Rhodies World to perform an official function or from any other brand
for any modelling deal.
In the last Face of Rhodies World contest, I met a lot of beautiful young
ladies but I think in anything modelling it is not just beauty that says
it all, something always gives you an edge, it could be votes,
personality, intelligence etc. so my advice to upcoming models is to look
for that cutting edge.
