There is no Nigeria without the Nigerian. The perspective through which life is viewed differs in every way as its viewers and while some view through the lens of pessimism, some others do so through that of optimism. The tenacious determination of the Nigerian over the years as they have gone through hell and high waters is a character to be admired. While some complain about the degree of the flame and its effects on the nation, I rejoice in the process and the prospect of the end product because gold, before it can be desirable must first be passed through the furnace to rid it of impurity which does not come at a cheap cost but the aftermath definitely makes everything worth it.

There is no Nigeria without the Nigerian. The Nigerian made of raw determination, undiluted bravery and an enduring spirit. The hardworking, multitasking trail blazer, the tenacious torch of hope is the Nigerian. The economic, financial and political cloud may seem dark and heavy at the moment but I believe that soon transparency will rule in our economic and financial sectors providing the premise upon which growth and development can thrive.

Nigeria is known as the “Giant of Africa” not just for being largely populated but also for one of the leading economies in Africa, for producing some of the best minds in the world, for its courage and determination to rise above every and any obstacle in its way each time she falls and for her unity in beautiful diversity.

The body as complex as it seems, is made up of millions of cells which play active roles to ensure that life continues hence I believe everyone has a role to play and if we play as a team, each one looking out for the other, we will ensure that the growth and development of the nation continues.

I believe that in spite of our challenges, if we stay united, we shall indeed experience peace and progress. I believe in the bright future of Nigeria where poverty and illiteracy is extinct, where transparency in laws and government is sure, where service leadership is reliable, where healthcare is applaudable and where education is commendable. I believe in the future of Nigeria where these are possible and this can only happen when deliberate steps are taken in the present to correct the mistakes of the past.

Without problems, we can’t find solutions and no answers can be provided when there are no questions thus I believe our challenges are blessings in disguise. I will fulfil my requirements as a citizen and encourage others to follow suit and be patriotic because I believe that is the surest path to a greater Nigeria.
